The rooms at Phelwana Game Lodge are absolutely cozy and comfortable. The premium bedding made me feel like I was sleeping on a cloud, and the laptop-friendly workspace allowed me to catch up on some work during my stay. The free WiFi was a great bonus too!
Personally, I wasn't a big fan of the round-shaped chalets. It's just my subjective opinion, but I preferred a more traditional room setup.

Phelwana Lodge, located just 47 km away from Kruger Park's Orpen Gate, was an amazing place for our family vacation. The kids had a blast with the outdoor adventures like ziplining and mountain climbing. The lodge, situated in Hoedspruit in the Limpopo Region, provided us with the perfect mix of guided ecotours and fishing at the Phelwana Dam. Plus, being surrounded by the beauty of the Hoedspruit area made our stay truly unforgettable.
For dads, it would be great if there were more activities specifically catered to younger children.

Enjoyed the guided bush walks and game drives, especially the visits to the bush school. The spacious chalet with a private pool was a lovely retreat.
Oh, how I missed air conditioning in the rooms! And the lack of communication between the lodge and villas was just delightful.

We had an incredible nature experience with guided game drives and nature walks. The variety of plains game animals, like giraffe and zebra, was amazing to see. The location was also perfect, with easy access to the Kruger National Park. One of the highlights was the opportunity to spend a night under the stars on the Sky deck.
Air conditioning in the rooms would have been preferred, as it got quite warm. there was a lack of communication between the lodge and the villas.
